Since the bery beginning of Armstrong, they have always been pusing the envlope when it comes to innovation. It started all the way back in 1860 when they were using their leftover cork scrap and cork dust to make springboards which led to the production of their cork insulation and linoleum.

Since then, they have regularly developed new procedures, equipment, and products, ranging from no-maintenance floors to BioBased Tile made drom rapidlyrenewable materials. They were pioneers in marketing as well, not only sponsoring shows in the early days of television, but creating them too!
